Westerly Rapture

This is It.

Dawn , sun coming up into scattered little cumulus clouds. West wind at 15-18 k. Smooth seas.

Running down our Easting at latitude 37 South towards the South American mainland ,1200 miles away. . Steady 6.5 -7 knots.

An empty beer bottle (Ecuadorian Pilsener) was left, after the big party last night, balanced horizontally on the adjustment wheel of the windvane. As it rotates with the yawing of the boat to correct our course , the wind blows an Andean tune across the bottlemouth.

A second cup of coffee after a tortilla, egg, bean wrap.

Push ‘record’ now , Steve. One of those moments.
