Nearly Equatorial

We are at 2 23 S 141 56 W with squalls and occasional showers, but the underlying wind is still 15 k east or SE. So still making good progress to the north. I am seeing occasional Storm Petrels which I assume is the only tropical storm petrel species. Occasional dark petrels that do not approach close enough for identification. Other wise no birds. We saw some bottlenose dolphins in the lee of Nuku Hiva. Food is seriously de-emphasized, too hot and little motivation. I have struggled through two James Patterson books, and they are actually looking pretty good in retrospect compared to the Cussler novel that I am watching now. No kindle means ‘broadening my horizons’. They are all going to be floaters before Hawaii. ###
